Came here on Tuesday evening with my family. We got great service from Clayton. They put so much care in their drinks! Each one tasted delicious. I loved the hot bourbon drink. My family ordered the Mezcal drink, the apple cider martinis, and the espresso martini. Everyone was raving how good the drinks were. The free seasoned popcorn was a big hit too!
My friend and I had a late flight out of Austin and decided to hang out on Rainey Street. The first spot we went into was The Tipsy Alchemist. This place was jumping. The music and the vibes were everything. Once we finally managed to squeeze into the bar area, we ordered drinks. The menu was amazing. It was hard to choose. Forgive me because I do not remember the names of these drinks, but they were absolutely delicious and beautiful. This place made me miss my bartending days. The fresh ingredients, mixers, and add-ins were wonderful. The bartenders were very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful.
Definitely give them a try if you're in Austin.
Such a great bar to grab a cocktail. The crowd was mixed with younger and older people. The music was mixed and the vibe was great. We left before midnight because Rainey St looked like it was starting to get crowded. I had the "Her Name Was Lola" and it was excellent!! Highly recommend!
Love the atmosphere. Great location, great view of Rainey Street and the drinks are amazing. Love the Christmas drinks.
Alex and John behind the bar are amazing!! If you are ready to experience not only mind blowing cocktails this is the place to go!! This place is in now in my top 5 of TRUE cocktail bars in the US. We will be back later tonight to try out the amazing selection of straight bourbon!!
I always stop here for a good drink before heading down the Rainey gauntlet. It’s good, well priced (for Rainey) and the creative craft cocktails are allot of fun!
At first I kept looking for some sort of hamster running in the ceiling tubes, but after realizing the food violations that would come from this, I decidedly asked someone… the tube shoots a drink from one side of the bar to the other in order to shake it up! It’s allot of fun & if it’s not too busy, they’ll show you how it works!
Great place to start & end the night. Lovely staff, clean & lots of creative nooks for pics!
To get here, go up the stairs by the parking garage. Nice seating heat lamps and a pretty good Irish Coffee, perfect for a Texas freeze. Staff was nice, and they had tasty seasoned popcorn for a bar snack. Unfortunately, they don't validate parking.
Drinks were great and fun! However this wasn't the vibe I was looking for craft drinks charged at premium cost. For those prices, I would expect a more classy place where I can chill and chat with friends without needing to yell. The music was too loud and felt like the rest of Rainey street where everything was too loud and tried too hard. I was looking for a more quiet, classy place to enjoy a chill evening with nice unique cocktails. Took off 2 stars for the loud atmosphere and high prices.
